Let me add one more concept to this after glancing at your title when I posted. If they are talking about releasing the Ginne Mae (FHA) loan so the other originator can pick it up, this is possible but it is not needed. The new loan officer should be able to load the loan and get a new loan number issued, in that sense they start from scratch but that should not really make a difference.

Ibrahim S, it sounds like this is a buyer who needs financing and the two loan originators have drug their feet. As such, the buyer does not have a loan yet. So there is nothing to release. This means unless there is a loan ready to fund there is no fee earned.
